Indonesia National Shipowners Association (INSA)

INSA (Indonesian National Shipowners' Association) is the association of shipping companies in Indonesia are recognized by the Government based on the Decree of the Minister of Maritime No. DP 10/7/9 dated 6 September 1967 which was confirmed by the Minister of Transportation Decree No. KP.8/AL.308/Phb-89 dated October 28, 1989. INSA was founded on September 6, 1967 with headquarters on Jl. Tanah Abang III No. 10, Jakarta 10160.

INSA has a VISION for infrastructure development, economy, unity and unifying tool unity of the people & country, and the MISSION is to share a national merchant service bamboozle. and the function is to unite. protect and promote the interests of members and direct the business's ability to achieve a common goal, to be masters in their own country. Through a long struggle since its inception, INSA has been trusted to enhance national shipping both in Indonesia and / or on trade between countries.

Association a work program that the main thing is; Implement INPRES No.5 in 2005 for the empowerment and development of national fleets and independent and strong cooperation among all members to achieve maximum efficiency and to increase the power of trade

Based on the results of the General Meeting of Members (RUA) INSA to XV - 2011 Program INSA is:

  • Spread expanding business information to guide its members.
  • Cultivate good relations with the Government and the authorities, especially in formulating government regulations related to maritime activities.
  • Fostering cooperation with existing associations in Indonesia and abroad as well as actively participate in meetings to discuss shipping issues in the country and internationally.
  • Be active in education issues and enhance human resources by organizing courses, seminars, etc..

Management Board according to the Decision RUA INSA-XV 2011 has been decided several fields, namely:

  • Field Organization and Membership;
  • Industry Development Division & Cruises;
  • Field Cooperation and Foreign Relations;
  • Human Resource Development Division
  • Field & Vehicle Passenger Transportation
  • Public Transport Division
  • Annual Transportation Sector
  • Field Container Transport
  • Field Offshore Transportation
  • Field Tug and Barge Transport
  • Liquid Transportation Division

INSA consists of  57 DPC, to coordinate the member's headquarters outside of Jakarta and branches outside Jakarta area.

NSA members of:

  • FASA (Federation of ASEAN Shipowners Association)
  • ASF (Asian Shipowners Forum)
  • IMO (International Maritime Organitation)

At various ports in Indonesia to coordinate the member's headquarters outside of Jakarta and branches outside Jakarta area, and coordinate with related agencies in the port.

INSA berazaskan on:

  • Pancasila and the Constitution of 1945
  • Equality Rights and Obligations of mutual respect sera fellow members
  • The spirit of mutual assistance in the form of cooperation of the Entrepreneur Cruises
