By: Jacob Rasmussen, Sales Engineer, Green Instruments

A presentation of the laser technology developed by Green Instrument which is provided for different applications on board cruise ships, ferries and yachts. As an example, we have the ambient oil mist detector with a configurable setup. It is possible to cover large areas of the engine room to ensure early warning of oil leakages due to prevent formation of oil mist before it comes to a dangerous level. The technology can resist vibrations and high temperatures that makes it suitable for monitoring of soot – which is relevant in addition to the exhaust gas cleaning technologies due  to meet the 2020 Global sulphur limits.
