Co - Chair, MASS SIG / Principal Engineer, Autonomous Systems Capability Lead

Daniel Ridgwell is a Capability Development Manager who works with multi-disciplinary teams at all levels to grow new and innovative services for the marine market.  After spending nearly two decades in the Royal Navy and private practice, Daniel truly appreciates the requirements of owners, operators and suppliers within the defence, security and commercial sectors.  The complex and rapidly evolving maritime domain present significant integration challenges; Daniel is passionate about finding solutions to make the sector safer, more efficient and a more compelling environment to work and operate in.

Currently the unmanned and autonomous systems capability lead for BMT, Daniel leads the development and delivery of this new strategic business growth area, delivering work in to various public and private organisations. 

Daniel is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, for whom he sits as the co-chair of the IMarEST Maritime Autonomous Surface Ship Special Interest Group (MASS SIG).
