Su Yin is an electrical power grid. She brings energy to discussions and projects, and in the process, introduces light to those discussions. Su Yin is driven by purpose and impact, and wants to leave any place better than when she first got there.

She is trained as a maritime  litigator. At the age of 34, she was the youngest Asian female to be made Partner of a leading international maritime law firm, and at the age of 36, named as a Top 10 maritime lawyer internationally by Lloyd’s List. In 2017,  at 37 she pivoted to become in-house legal at the Australian mining house, South32,. Her passion for driving inclusion and thought leadership is seen through her founding of the Young Professionals in Shipping Network (Hong Kong), a platform for driving thought leadership amongst professionals in the maritime and logistics industries in Hong Kong and China, and The Captain’s Table Innovation Challenge, the ‘Shark’s Tank’ of the maritime industry.

Outside of work, Su Yin is an avid runner, tennis player and loves a good karaoke session although her preference is for belting out tunes in Mandarin and Cantonese.
