Our Commitments

Asia Pacific Maritime (APM) is committed to driving sustainability with the entire maritime industry.
Taking place 25-27 March 2026, the 19th edition of the event will be distinguished by key engagements to making APM cleaner, greener, more diverse and more equitable.

Collaborating with the right partners is our main focus. The upcoming edition will be held at one of Asia’s leading sustainable venues, Marina Bay Sands. This award-winning, carbon-neutral venue is triple platinum certified by top sustainability standards: LEED Platinum, BCA Green Mark Platinum, and EIC Sustainable Event Standards Platinum.

Our transformative event not only gathers the global maritime community but also aligns with our mission to reduce environmental impact.
Be part of a greener future at APM 2026.

Our Initiatives

A Plastic Free Event

1) APM promotes the event digitally through social media and on other online platforms, an eco-friendly way, enabling industry professionals to know about the event and prepare in advance

2) No plastic holders are provided during the event and all badges were plastic free. Lanyards were also recycled at the end of the show.

3) Cut out single-use plastic pollution; water dispensers are available to encourage attendees to carry a reusable bottle. Guests will be provided water in tetra pak rather than plastic bottle.

Low Carbon Travel

Singapore's public transport system is fast and efficient. The MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) and bus systems have an extensive network of routes that will help you zip around the city.

We encourage all attendees to communit around the island via the public transport or car-pool to reduce carbon emission. Find out more >

Reduce Usage of Carpet

APM extends the usual warm welcome to our attendees and VIPs, but we used a little less carpet to do so.

While some carpeting is necessary to cover uneven floor areas, the event will only source for green carpet that produces less CO2, latext free and is 100% recyclable.

Recycle & Reuse

A comprehensive waste collection, tracking and diversion programme is implemented throughout Marina Bay Sands. Dedicated multi-stream recycling bins are placed throughout The Shoppes and Sands Expo & Convention Centre to encourage waste segregation. Marina Bay Sands recycles a wide range of waste, including paper, cardboard, metals, horticulture and electronic waste.

Eco-conscious Catering

APM is where formal and informal gathering and networking takes place. This includes events organised by the organiser and events organised by our clients/ partners at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre.

APM-organised events will serve responsibly sourced seafood and a range of culinary choices that cleverly incorporate vegetables and alternative proteins into traditional dishes, reducing our environmental footprint. Find out more >

Food Waste Management

Harmonising our food waste commitment with our mission to support vulnerable communities, we have a close partnership with the Food Bank Singapore to donate unserved, safe food to those in need. Since 2016, over 30,000kg of food has been donated to their network of over 370 charities.

Marina Bay Sands has five aerobic digesters on site that transform food waste into residual material, which can be used as fertiliser or animal feed.

The RX Journey to Net Zero

At RX, we are serious about sustainability. We are founding members of the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge to make our company, our shows and the wider events industry net zero. We commit to being Net Zero by 2040 and to make a 50% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.

In 2023 we will publish our pathway to net zero, setting out our reduction strategy with key milestones for all our shows. Given the complex nature of our supply chain and the emissions associated with a show, it is only by working together as an industry that we will be able to reduce our impact. We are building a company of net zero heroes to take action and ensure a sustainable future.
