APM 2022 media registration is open only to editorial staff with registered media organisations. Only editorial staff will be accredited as media. Titles regarded as editorial staff include bureau chiefs, editorial publishers, correspondents, editors, journalists, producers, web journalists, analysts, accredited camera and video crew, etc.

Freelance writers, videographers and photographers must present proof of assignment by an accredited media outlet. These include recognised magazines, trade publications, newspapers, news wires, broadcasting stations and news portals.
